Dogs are the stars of the show at Bark in the Park™, but kids are a dogs best friend and we have a special entertainment zone for them! The activities and events below are from Bark in the Park 2019.

Face Painting and Puppy Make-Over Packages
Kids let their inner dog out with a puppy-themed face painting or got a puppy make-over package that included a choice of dog-themed face paint, a Bark in the Park bandanna, and a dog ears headband.
Activity was all all day in the Kids' Zone

Bulldog Bounce
Kids bounced off a little extra energy in the Big Bulldog Bounce House. It was barkin' good fun!

Story Time with Edith
Kids settled in for a doggone good story read by Edith Sutterlin from the San Jose Public Library.
Story Time was held at 12:45 and 2:45 p.m. in the Kids' Zone
DOGA (Doggie Yoga)
Downward dog with an actual dog? Yes, please! Jake's Wish Dog Rescue and Beverly Bachoo for Family DOGA (Doggie Yoga), helped families get in touch with their inner beasts and do downward dog with their dog. Kids and their doggie companion had some yoga fun bonding on the mat. Mats provided.
DOGA was at 11:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Kids' Zone

WOOF! NEW: DIY Dog Toy Making
Kids made new toys for their best friend at the DIY Dog Toy Making station, presented by Jake's Wish Dog Rescue, with help from the Yerba Buena High School Animal Pack.
DIY Toymaking was at 1:30 and 3:45 p.m. in the Kids' Zone

Dog Owner in Training
Dogs In Harmony provided an interactive presentation about dog behavior and handling. Coloring books and crayons were provided to all those that wanted to participate.
Training sessions were held at 10:30 a.m. 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Kids' Zone
Kid's Agility Course
After watching the dog agility demos, the Kids' Agility Course allowed kids to test their agility skills on a doggone fun training course designed just for them!
Agility was open all day in the Kids' Zone
